Australia Skilled Occupation List Changes March 2019

The Department of Home Affairs has issued a series of new qualified qualification lists for Australian skilled visa programs (temporary and permanent skilled visas). The lists of new skilled professions begin Monday, March 11, 2019. More importantly, changes are introduced to new requirements for employers caring for doctors trained abroad.

Subcategory 186 Employer’s Candidate Program (ENS)

Potential applicants must have a career in the Medium and Long Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL).
There are 216 skilled occupations for this type of visa.

Regional Migration Visa (RSMS) (subclass 187)

Prospective applicants must have a career in the Medium- and Long-Term Strategic Skills (MLTSSL) list, or Regional Professions List (ROL) for employers in regional regions.
There are 673 skilled occupations for this type of visa and apply to direct entry streams and Temporary Residence Change (TRT).

All applicants must be nominated in one of these skilled professions. Exceptions may apply if there are separate arrangements under the Work Agreement.
